Summary
Two and a half weeks out of the Holler, Haven realises they've left a smoking trail of destruction in their wake. The curse is broken, and the town and the Scarlets are free of the evils that have beset both for a hundred and fifty years, but the mine is closed until a new shaft can be sunk, and the town is dying without it. Reese and Haven decide to go back and make a go at propping it up a while longer. Haven convinces Tabitha to lend them the old, boarded up storefront on the corner of Main Street, so they can renovate it and open a gallery, hopefully to draw in tourist money.
Everything that can go wrong does go wrong, and on top of that, the building's haunted by two things that might not be ghosts, and the cat that might not be a cat keeps eating things that might not be possums.

Summary
The Rhapsody Codex is designed to make clearer the places Rhapsody in Ass Major diverges from DA canon, and also to fill in some parts of Thedosian life and culture that are not explored, elsewhere. Some canon divergence has to do with when we started writing this -- right after Inquisition came out, but before any of the DLC or WoT2. Basically, the Rhapsody Codex is a collection of the whats and whys of the series. (And maybe, if you're lucky, a couple of Howes.) This is a work in progress, and will periodically be updated. The codex may move more quickly than the continuity edits, at times.

Summary
[This fic is part of the Vexation of Spirit series, which is a crossover between Criminal Minds, The X-Files, and Shadow Unit. While only original characters from this series are appearing in this fic, characters, locations, and canon from all of those may be referenced.]
The pins in Kimi's knee have started to grow out, and he's going to need surgery to remove them. But, bringing him back to Idlewood to have it done is off the table. Still, the Anomaly means they've got the only doctors who can be trusted in a room with him, so arrangements have to be made for the surgery to be performed at the Fitzgerald Institute, where he's been more or less isolated from the world for several months. Unfortunately, the nurse they send to set it up is Sage Kirklund, the facility manager's ex.

In the Ancient Age, around -1600, the Neromenians found a new god, and with this god came the power to sink entire cities into the earth. The Inghirsh had held them off this long, sending back 'ten thousand spearmen' on their shields. But, their new god promised them victory at last.
Eight or ten years after Inquisition (somewhere in the vicinity of 9:50 Dragon), Kinnon finally goes back to investigate the ancient city beneath the Silent Plains. The spirits trapped beneath the earth are fearful and angry, but they're slowly fading away, memories lost to the passage of time, however intact the city might be. It takes the aid of two magisters to get permission to dig, and the ground still bears the Taint across the Plains, where Dumat fell, but Kinnon is intent on uncovering the past.

Aurelio's office door is anywhere he wants it to be, as long as he's been close enough to see that wall at least once before. And Idlewood's entirely appropriate caution in preventing an un-drugged Shadow from coming into contact with other patients is reasonable, but unhealthy for the patient in question. But, Aurelio has friends and business acquaintances who are just as anomalous as he and Shadow, if less inclined to inadvertent serial murder than Shadow. He can, he realises, lessen Shadow's confinement, without endangering anyone else.
