Summary
“Hmm.” Zoey looked back at her notebook, skimming her finger down to the bottom of the page as she scanned her scribbled notes. “Idea thirty: pretend to date Rumi.”
“You or Mira?”
“Both of us.”
Rumi snorted. “How would that help?”
“No, hold on,” Mira said, a smile slowly spreading across her face. “I think she’s onto something here.”
---
Zoey and Mira both have problems, and the obvious solution is pretending to date Rumi.

Summary
Caitlyn glances out Vi’s window as they emerge from another cloud. Hopes to glimpse the sun setting behind the coastal mountains, their silhouetted peaks framed by brilliant orange and yellow and gold, their shadows crawling east across the clouds. Instead she sees a barricade of emerald green and midnight blue and charcoal gray unfurling as it hurtles toward them. A vertical ocean of swirling waves stretching in every direction, illuminated by bursts of lighting.
“Vi?”
Vi looks over. Snaps her head back to look again. “A supercell?” The color drains from her face. “Where did–” Caitlyn feels a shudder run through the floor. Through her boots. Up her seat. Up her spine. Vi clutches the yoke, fights the tremors. The hull shudders again. And again. Starts to shake, the rattles building and building and building until Caitlyn is bouncing off of her seat, fingernails clawing into the cushion.
...
Survival Adventure AU. Caitlyn and Vi are separated when their plane crashes in the snowy mountains. They must learn to survive the frigid winter as they find their way back to each other in more ways than one.

Summary
She sheds dust and dirt and flecks of sweat and blood like rainwater with every echoing step as she wanders the unending corridors, hands shoved in her pockets. Tries not to touch anything. To tread lightly on mud caked soles. Contaminates the sterile halls with bits of the dock, the council chambers, herself, all the same.
...
Vi wanders the halls of the Kiramman mansion and stitches up her shirt and tries to avoid thinking of Stillwater while Caitlyn plans her mother's funeral.

I wish we could grow old together.
The thought forms and dissipates in the same breath, before Vi can latch onto it with scarred hands and scarred sentiments and pick it apart, syllable by syllable.

Summary
This was, without a doubt, Mira's worst nightmare.
The woman to her left leant over her for the fourth time to talk to the person on her right, and Mira tore her headphones down - her over-ear, very expensive, noise cancelling headphones that apparently were completely useless when faced with whatever actual nonsense this woman was saying to her friend - to sit around her neck so she could say with venom, “Please switch seats with me. I'm begging you.”
“It's not allowed,” the purple-haired woman on her right said, her hands visibly tense on the armrests. On Mira's armrest. Everyone knew the person in the middle seat got both armrests. Fuck AirAsia for charging for allocated seating. “If you're not in your assigned seats they can't identify you from your teeth when you die.”
The ‘I'm stuck in the middle seat of an airplane and these two idiots won't swap seats to sit next to each other’ AU. Established Zorumi, a very grumpy Mira, and a six hour flight.

Summary
"… Zoey?"
Hard to see anything beyond the flash of her smile, but it looked like Zoey had moved in time to miss having an entire steering column drop on her face; Rumi couldn't see any blood, for which she thanked her lucky stars.
Until Zoey spoke, at least.
"Fuck, Rums–" breathy, scratchy, low–the press of her between Rumi's legs suddenly electric. "Close."

Summary
Two months and three days.
Zoey knows that she’s not the only one keeping track of the days, but neither Rumi or Mira said anything on the two month marker, so Zoey didn’t say anything, either. Just like she hadn’t said anything the first month, or halfway through, or even the first week, or the first ten days.
The bathroom floor is kind of freezing.
The thought makes her snort, a laugh escaping her even though it’s not really that funny. Zoey rolls her eyes, pressing the back of her hand to her cheek, ignoring the wetness there. It turns out she’s not that good at ignoring the honmoon constantly screaming in Rumi’s voice in her head. Kind of funny how that works.
Zoey groans, burying her face in her hands as she lets out another mostly-humourless laugh. She should have known it would catch up to her eventually.

Summary
Mira has been going over each little thing for the past week. Meticulously turning them over in her mind, replaying events in her head until she’s sick from remembering. It’s something like a punishment. A constant reminder of all the ways she fucked up; hardly feels like enough atonement after hearing everything that Rumi has gone through her entire life.
Rumi stops being able to sing. Rumi starts completely shutting down, worse than either of them have ever seen. Rumi starts pulling away. There are nights where Mira swears Rumi isn’t in her room, but she can’t prove it. Rumi starts obsessively wearing layers—turtlenecks paired up with jackets and compression shirts underneath all of that. Rumi starts being strangely combative and harsh. Rumi snaps at her in a way that is completely uncharacteristic for her. Rumi won’t sing their song, even with the world caving in around them, as if she wouldn’t mind if the world did end.
Mira hasn’t stopped feeling guilty.

Summary
You’ve read far too much about love to allow yourself to make such a careless mistake. You know all about how it sneaks up on you. How one day it’s hardly much of anything, how the next it becomes bright and loud and too much. You know that better than anyone. You’ve read thousands of iterations of it, thousands of admissions, thousands of hastily scrawled out pleas to understand that you must understand, I could have never seen this coming.
You consider love, hate, indifference. You turn over words in your mind until they sound wrong and removed. You do this with love until you can stand to hear it echoed in your own thoughts.
(When you realise you love her, you’ll plead to yourself in the mirror. You must understand, you’ll beg, I could have never seen this coming.)
(or, a story about love, hate, truths, and what it means to be and love a monster)
