"The Daily White Lotus delivers the truth!" is a slogan that Katara has drilled into her head since beginning her work as a journalist four years ago. The same slogan that has slowly made her realize she may never get to tell the story she wants to tell—or really make a difference for the people of Republic City.
That was, until she's put on assignment with her senior producer Aang. The only problem with this is that she's vowed to have absolutely no distractions when working. Unfortunately for her, the crush she's had on Aang since she met him might get in the way of both her work and personal life.

Aang and Katara have spent the day surrounded by their duties of rebuilding the world—Aang training his air acolytes whereas Katara is currently obsessed with finding flowers with healing properties. All Aang wants is to spend some quiet time alone with the love of his life—unfortunately she's gone off in the mountains past Republic City to find these flowers, leading Aang to make his day longer in hopes of bringing her home.
What was supposed to be a one-and-done trip turns into much more once he finds Katara.

Seattle wasn't far from Forks, she would still be close enough to him. Her husband Jacob was done moving places so that Bella could get her education. His true home would always be forks. Bella respected that. She could deal with the long distance of living in the city.
Though, when she begins teaching, there's a professor in her department she just can't seem to escape. Professor Cullen is quite accomplished in his field—literature and english, among others. He's highly respected by colleagues and even given lectures within the halls of Cambridge. But Bella can't see why everyone else is so obsessed with him. Until she too, mistakenly falls under she spell.

When she accepts an assistant job at the ZPD she'll be investigating more than simple orderly files when an unknown string of murders begin to plague Zootopia. Despite the fact it is against law for female mammals to partake in such investigation. It's only with the help of a deceitful fox might she be able to solve the mystery before more mammals face the same fate.
(Late 19th century AU. All characters canon to Zootopia exist in this fic, the setting simply takes place in an old timey version of Zootopia.)
