“You’re gonna tell me you’ve felt nothing? Nothing from these last ten months?”
Robby feels like he could die. If Dennis pulled out a gun and shot him in the street Robby would let it happen and bleed out right here on the pavement. He almost wishes he does.
“I’m twice your age, kid. Doesn’t matter what I’ve felt.”
Dennis frowns, “M’ not some stupid kid.”
“I’m your boss.”
“No, you aren’t.” His voice has some jagged edge to it, harsh, “Not right now. Not tomorrow, or the next day. Not next month. Do you even plan on coming back, Dr. Robby? Or do you plan on getting killed on that fucking bike.”

After a chaotic day at the Pitt on the 4th of July, the crew goes out for Javadi's birthday and to celebrate Robby's sabbatical. Dennis especially needs a drink after how Robby has been touching him after he got whacked in the head by a patient.
Robby later finds himself driving Whitaker home.

Dennis made to pull away, but Robby tightened his grip.
“Don’t you dare,” he chuckled.
Just like that, they were aware again. Aware of how Robby’s fingers were pressing searing marks straight into Dennis’ skin, spots that no other man was lucky enough to touch. With how loose the thing was, Robby could easily slide his hands up, up, upward under the fabric of the jumper and trace teasing fingertips over his ribs. He could duck down, hold Dennis in place and taste each mole and freckle there, leave a bitten red claim somewhere only they could find it. He had an idea, then.
“I’ll show you,” he said. Promised. “You’re pretty enough for Greek myths. Kingdoms would go to war over you, I’ll show you.”
(Or, Dennis' comfort is Robby's temptation.)

Jack flashed a grin, but didn't let himself get distracted. "Fun message I got today. It seems that someone rode his midlife crisis to work while conspicuously not wearing a helmet."
Underneath his hand, Robby stilled, his heart beating faster than normal. "What?" he asked, but that was a stall, Robby playing for time to decide on his approach. Which was cute, really, but Jack knew all his tricks.
So he just nodded, mocking. "Yeah. See the thing is, when you do shit, I hear about it."

Summary
Robby hadn’t moved. His jaw had locked so tightly it hurt. Disgust curled low in his stomach. Not at Whitaker, never at Whitaker. How could he let this happen? Under his watch, in his ED of all places. It felt irrational. Possessive. Territorial in a way Robby hated recognizing. If he hadn’t been so thoroughly revolted by the thought of Whitaker ending up with Park, he might have found the blush steadily spreading across the kid's face unbearably endearing.
Instead it only made something inside him twist. Whitaker deserved someone careful. Someone patient. Someone better than a shark. Someone even better than Robby.
Or, Park The Shark asks Dennis out and Robby learns that Dennis has never gone "all the way" with a guy before. He has a lot of mixed emotions about that.
