Not that Dan thinks about it much, (He’d be lying if he said he doesn’t), Phil is also extremely beautiful. His eyes are a deep blue, if you look close enough there is a mix of yellow and green in there too. His hair is dyed black, his haircut somewhat similar to Dan’s. Phil is perfect.
Without another second to think, he presses play. The video itself is the starting point to a whole story, one that Phil has created entirely on his own. Dan has to wonder how his mind worked, how could one person possibly come up with something this incredible? His brain itches, obsessions unfolding. ''

“Yeah, I guess.” Dan groans as he takes one last glance at the photo on his phone before returning it to the pocket of his black jeans. He throws one of the merch hoodies they’re selling throughout the tour over his head and rushes off of the bus to catch up with the others before they leave without him.

They’ve been out for around 4 hours by the time Dan realises just how many drinks he’s had, and the alcohol did not soothe the empty feeling the absence of his other half had left him. Instead, it just made him crave Phil’s presence more. It was hard to keep his mouth closed about how much he adored him, scared for people to overhear. “(Dan's 'We're All Doomed' tour. He makes a drunken phone call to Phil.)

There’s an itch under Dan’s skin, the way there always is when he goes to visit his mother. Just a little thing, uncomfortable, like the world has tipped gently sideways. The infrequent occasions where he does go to visit, he nearly always goes alone. For obvious reasons.

Before Dan goes to Wokingham to reunite with his high school friend group, he panics, and practically begs Phil to join him. He's anticipating that the weekend will be awkward and heavy, but at least this way, he won't be alone. He'll have Phil by his side to make him laugh and feel safe, so realistically, how bad could things get?
And then, the funniest thing happens. They both have a wonderful time.
Dan has a hard time being normal about it all. Luckily, no one is really asking him to be.
