Summary
When Song Lan arrives at Yi City, Xue Yang knows it’s just a matter of time before all comes crashing down. And it does, because what can he do when Song Lan wants to give one of Xiao Xingchen's eyes back as a reverse-transplant.
Xingchen, of course, says no, stating that his eyes have been a gift to Song Lan. But the seed has been sown, and Xue Yang can’t ignore the openly hungry and hopeful look on Xiao Xingchen’s face whenever Song Lan brings it up.
“Chengmei, imagine,” he says, voice quivering, “I could finally see you.”
“Yeah,” Xue Yang croaks pitifully, turns away and leaves.
