Summary
Viktor, Jayce, and Sky go to an event in the Undercity.

As the crowd surged forward, the wall of elevators became visible. They were a far cry from the sleek machines in Piltover that carried Viktor to and from the lab every day. Some were open-air metal cages held together by chains, while others were sealed boxes with cracked windows. A couple were even illuminated by bare flickering lightbulbs.
The rusted industrial contraptions were connected by a system of pulleys and mechanical winches, likely built from repurposed factory machinery and engineered to withstand the constant abuse of hauling people and heavy equipment hundreds of meters down into the dark. Viktor smiled with a sense of pride at the Undercity’s ingenuity.
When he turned to Jayce, he was unprepared for what he saw. Jayce’s posture was stiff and all the color had drained from his face. He was staring at the lift in front of them, eyes wide and jaw clenched, like it was a coffin swinging open just for him.
“Jayce… are you okay?”

Summary
Set after Season 2 Episode 3. Vi is reeling from her confrontation with Caitlyn. Jinx is trying to take care of Isha while coping with Silco's death. Vi numbs her pain and slowly hardens herself while she tries to find a way into the illegal pit fighting scene. Jinx's bond with Isha grows, and she realizes there's a version of herself that isn't all bad. With Silco out of the picture, there's no one to keep the remaining chem barons in line.
POV alternates between Vi and Jinx as overlapping events unfold.

Summary
The Machine Herald returns to his human form and survives in the post-apocalyptic timeline where he reckons with the consequence of his actions and process his grief. He meets Jayce and discovers he has influence over past events. He tries in timeline after timeline to make things right and avert the apocalypse, but all of his efforts seem to be doomed. This is the untold story of old mage Viktor, beginning when he returns to his human form and ending with the series finale.

“What I’ve done is unforgivable. It’s irredeemable. None of them deserved this fate, but you have the opportunity to give them back their lives.” Viktor said some version of this in every timeline. He tried again and again to find the right words. Words that would echo in Jayce’s mind and give him strength in his moment of weakness.
Despite his best efforts, the results were more or less the same. Just as Viktor was incapable of leaving young Jayce to die in the snow, Jayce could never go through with pulling the trigger on Viktor.

The air burned a little in Sky’s lungs today. A thin fog of something chemical—maybe bleach, maybe rust—hung in the corridor like a veil. She tugged her scarf higher over her mouth, more habit than protection. Her boots splashed through a shallow puddle slick with oilslick green.
The Undercity always smelled like this when it rained.

Summary
He walks toward Jayce, driven by a thousand hands on his back. Of people in that room, of ghosts, of his own mother. All pushing him toward Jayce and toward a future that metamorphosizes with every step he takes. Viktor can feel the winds shift and part of his story is wiped clean, unwritten by his own actions that night.
Viktor doesn’t look back. He allows Jayce to open the door for him, and steps out into the evening. The sunset is vibrant, gold and pink and explosive.
Feeling unaccepted by Piltover in the wake of his 28th birthday, Viktor returns to the Undercity for an annual festival to reconcile who he is with where he came from.
Things go south.
