After spending two weeks on the road, and playing everyday and not sleeping every night, Ilya is bone-tired. It's honestly a miracle he can still stand or function. But Zane Boodram has invited the Centaurs to his house for a delicious barbecue and Shane has brought a delicious salad. The best one probably. It's a great night! Probably.
It's just really a depressing awful shame Ilya can't enjoy it. He is inexorably falling into a terrible combative depressive episode.
Or: We're sitting with Ilya and he is STRUGGLING. Shane is not far.

“Say. It. To. My. Face,” Ilya repeated, every word spit out from between clenched teeth, his accent heavy, anger dripping from his voice.
In his peripheral vision, he saw Bood and Dykstra approaching and he held up a hand to stop them. This was between him and Petrov. He would take care of this on his team.
“I will not do that,” Petrov finally replied, his eyes darting to somewhere behind Ilya and then back. “You’re my teammate.
“I’ am your captain,” Ilya hissed. “You say it to him, you can say it to me.”
Petrov swallowed, and for the first time, glanced around him as if to ask for help from his other teammates, none of which would come to his defense right now because Ilya had told them to hold.

Shane swivelled around, turning his attention to the staff spread around the studio, “You really don’t see it? Oh my god, how could anyone watch this and not immediately understand what’s going on.”
The room fell silent. Shane launched up and stood next to the editor at the controls, “Go back a few secs. Wait a second… There it is. There!” The footage paused on a wide shot of the ice, a ref had begun to skate towards Ilya, directing him back to his bench.
“Okay go forward just like, as slow as possible.” The editor did as instructed. “Shit, sorry, it’s so quick. Go back. Okay, forward. Stop! Look, right there.”
He heard someone from the crew murmur, “Oh my god.”
Shane’s voice broke as he ran his hands through his hair, “Yeah. So, now do you understand why I have to do this?”
Or: Shane makes sure the documentary finishes differently and it's the most romantic thing Ilya Rozanov has ever seen.
