Summary
Angela Giarratana has made peace with the fact that she was not made for love. Across the stage, Garroth looked…different. Laurance suddenly noticed that his face had smoothed out, never having realized that Garroth’s face was taut with tension to begin with. His posture was straight, shoulders low and relaxed. His eyes were wide and an open, almost child-like expression, his cheeks flushed a pretty red that made his freckles all that more apparent. He was panting, slightly, and from here, Laurance could see sweat beading lightly on Garroth’s forehead.
Laurance inhaled sharply and Garroth’s relaxed expression became concerned again. “Are you okay?” he asked. “You’re crying.”
