Summary
Shane Hollander is Britain's most promising Quidditch Talent. Already being fought for by Europe's biggest teams despite it not even being his Rookie year yet.
Shane always has a plan, and if all had gone as he’d intended, his final year at Hogwarts would be spent on a broom winning match after match in front of the scouts before finally having his pick of teams. To his horror, his plans are then thrown into utter disarray when Hogwarts is chosen to host the most dangerous magical competition known amongst the three great wizarding schools: The Triwizard tournament.
Shane is gutted as his hopes for winning the Quidditch cup are thrown out the window, but it doesn't take long for him to realise that this time he might be able to aim for something different—something bigger. Maybe even the most prestigious title a Graduate could hold—Triwizard Champion.Shane Hollander has always been destined to Win. That is until Drumstrang's prospect Ilya Rozanov, the only man ever to best him, steps into his path. Creating yet another dangerous task Shane would have to get past to win.
And oh, how Shane hates him for it.

Summary
Ch. 2
His hair’s in a bun this time, low and loose at the nape of his neck, mostly it seems just to keep it out of his eyes while he’s bending over the gameboard and the geeky little figurines that cover it. The long sleeves of his shirt are rolled up to his elbows, and Steve’s eyes track the familiar scratches and scars that litter Eddie’s skin there for longer than they probably should. The game is in full swing — not that Steve has any earthly clue what’s happening in it — and Eddie’s softly grinning ear-to-ear as the kids all bicker over what their next move should be. He looks — He looks happy, even if Steve knows he’s gotta still be in pain and a little foggy from a minor dose of pills. He looks the happiest that Steve has ever seen him.
There’s this feeling in the pit of Steve's gut then. One that is, regrettably, all too familiar to him.

Life rarely follows the ebb and flow of bedtime stories, and after his eighth birthday Steve stops thinking of fairy tales altogether, his mind instead full of the sound of his fathers belt slipping out of its belt loops, of calendars marked with more businesses trips than days home, and resolutely doesn’t seek out the fritillaria in the mirror anymore.
