Stelle paused, waiting for his response. It doesn't come for several hours, leading her to wonder just what he was managing to do in the archives for all of that time. When her phone does ping with a message from him, she's left even more bewildered.
Dan Heng: Strange or not, you would do well to heed the warning.
Stelle stared at her phone, rereading the message several times. She blinked once, then twice, before her features drew into a nasty scowl. Just what was going on with him?
Stelle: What would you do if I didn't?
He was typing a message. She could see the icon on their phone. He began, stopped -- only to begin again. This cycle continued for several minutes as she waited impatiently for his response, leg shaking up and down in agitation. When the message finally does arrive, she's left even more confused.Dan Heng: Would you like to find out?

Alhaitham was used to Kaveh's mouth sometimes blabbering something unexpected, but nothing could have prepared him for the sheer force of those words. They casually slipped off Kaveh's tongue and fell onto Alhatham's chest with such suffocating weight that all the air was instantly knocked off his lungs. He stared blankly and dumbly at the easygoing glow in Kaveh's eyes.
"No, you didn't," he replied, brushing the sentence off as a joke.
"Of course I did!" Kaveh exclaimed, lips curling around the words before he rolled his eyes. "Oh come on, you knew."
