Tom looked up, attempting to meet his eye, but Tord was adamantly avoiding his stare and focusing on his arm with a troubled look. “Tord, look at me. We aren’t the same as we were back then. It’s fine. It doesn’t matter anym–”
“But doesn’t it, Tom? You’re here, you’re hurt now and I’m the one helping you, when back then I was the one trying to kill you. And for what? My stupid robot, that I could’ve rebuilt within a few months?” Still refusing to look up, Tord slumped into a chair that he pulled close. Almost defeatedly, he pressed the soaked rag onto Tom’s wound, watching as the blood slowly overtook the fibers of the cloth. “A giant robot is replaceable. You aren’t.”

Tord already hurled the screwdriver much farther from Tom’s reach, but that doesn’t stop Tom from using his bare hands to pop the bullet out of Tord’s skin like it was a pimple. A phalanx-sized, metal pimple. With the legs of an ant. Colored red, because obviously, it was colored red.
“Ow, ow, ow, ow—“
It’s not working.
“Of course it’s not working!” Tord manages to trap his wrists in one hold, forcing him down on his seat. “I told you, spilling all my truths is the only way to flush it out! Now keep listening to me wax poetic about you, I just remembered the mole on your taint.”

Summary
Their fates were sealed the moment they were born. Tom was a cursed prince, and Tord was going to be the king. Neither of them was fit for their supposed destinies, but they bared with the expectations anyway. Everything was going to plan- Tom was to murder Tord after becoming his acquaintance- but they had to mess it all up and fall in love.
This is a story I started uploading to Wattpad(BigDum69420) in July, but I also wanted to share it here :) I've never uploaded to A03 before so please bare with me if I mess anything up lol
