    Emon, Tal'Dorei - 2025 CE

    Vax'ildan and Vex'alhia, twins from the central city area, both have little money to their name. While Vex works an honest living at an animal rescue center in the city outskirts, Vax turned towards a more questionable line of work.

    Meanwhile, the University of Emon is home to Percy de Rolo and Keyleth. Percy comes from money and is originally from Whitestone, a large city on the other side of Tal'Dorei. Keyleth, on the other hand, was raised in an Ashari village and knows how to live it rough, but she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to pursue higher education and she soon took it.

    The students met the twins through sheer coincidence at a local bar called the Laughing Lamia, and they quickly made good friends, and Percy eventually fell in love with Vex, and Keyleth with Vax. However, a year or so later, both couples broke up. Not long after, Percy learns that Vax frequents his new workplace and Keyleth discovers that Vex is works at the place where she volunteers.
