Felicia!? You’re alive? You didn’t die in Kalm?
An individual with large scars across the left side of his face stared up at Elfe from below the platform she stood on, as she waited to give the order to detonate Corel’s unfinished Mako Reactor. His suit distinguished him as a Turk, neatly pressed and completely inappropriate for the occasion. Other Turks were present as well, and behind the man with the scars was Rufus Shinra, standing meekly, like a child in trouble more than someone who had been double crossing the organization he was a part of.
This wasn’t supposed to be happening. To Shinra, AVALANCHE was eradicated after their base was discovered in Wutai. They were supposed to be able to destroy the Reactor without anyone knowing.
Elfe didn’t know who this Felicia was, how the Turks found them in the Corel Reactor, or why AVALANCHE’s benefactor had decided to show his face during their objective. She ignored the man who had spoken to her, and was about to ask Fuhito what was going on, until a burst of pain shot through her entire body, stemming from the back of her left hand, and she fell onto the ground, her head slamming against the cold metal.

In the deep memory inside of his brain, he recalled a small town in the country, with buildings arranged in a circle, a water tower sitting in the middle, like children surrounding a campfire. A tall mountain range in the distance, the ends jutting outward like blades. If he ever learned of this place again, he wanted to go, and maybe stay a while, until he decided what his reason for fighting was, and what he would do for the remainder of his life.

Sephiroth was crouched down by a bush outside of the cave, arm stretched out as a blue dwarf tarantula crawled onto his gloved hand. It was smaller than the tarantulas that Sephiroth has seen in the labs, but more beautiful than the rest.
It reminded him of the antilles pinktoe tarantula. Both were vibrant in color, and both were Sephiroth’s favorites. He remembered one time Hojo had allowed him to check out a book from the library, and it was an encyclopedia of tarantulas. Those two had fascinated him the most.
Or: Sephy likes tarantulas, Glenn does not.
