Kris glances at Susie. She knows this look. It means, do you want to get in massive trouble together? The answer is, as always, of fucking course I do.

Summary
Seventeen years was a long time to spend trapped in survival mode, constantly forced to endure all of the hardships thrown his way. Philip had never been one to complain about his misfortunes, he did not whine about how unfair life had treated him. He simply endured. For the sake of survival, but also because he really didn't know what else to do. For Philip, carrying that constant weight around on his shoulders was becoming more and more unbearable as time went on. Living day after day after day subjected to unending torment had eventually left him with a difficult choice to make.
Did he take the "easy" way out and end this pathetic excuse of a life for good? Or, was it worth the effort to start over someplace new, with a renewed sense of hope that, one day, he might become privileged enough to live happily?
