    "Are you fucking kidding me, Megumi?" Toji spits. "You had me running around like a headless fucking chicken because you're jealous."

    "You didn't answer," Megumi shoots back, frowning. 

    "Yes, I think you're prettier than her. In fact, you're lucky you are or else I'd–" Toji cuts himself off with a groan. That won't get him anywhere. Megumi doesn’t seem to respond to anything the right way. Maybe that’s on Toji, too. 

    Maybe if he had kept his hands to himself and been a responsible adult his kid wouldn’t be so damn difficult. But what’s done is done.

    Toji wakes up in the middle of the night to an empty apartment and a missing kid.
