He's up for the head pastor position at his church and he's so close to having the life that his parents want for him. That god wants for him. But then he goes to the ER for stitches and meets some doctors that might be able to change his mind. One doctor in particular sparks something in him that shouldn't even be there at all. Can Dennis keep lying to his wife like this? Can he keep lying to himself?

Dr. Trinity Santos, during her MS4 rotations in UPMC had found that her cheap living space have become unhabitable. She finds SSA Dennis Whitaker, an FBI agent who offers her a room which is luckily near the hospital that she matched in for her residency, Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.

Whitaker hates the rain. It makes everything feel clammy, damp, and humid, so humid that he feels like he can’t breathe. His shoes have no grip so he constantly slipping and ruining his dry clothes. He hates the feeling of wet clothes clinging to his body, he hates having damp hair. He hates the rain.
Today was rainy.
He shared this hatred of the rain with someone, someone who he wanted to forget about. But this person kept finding their way back into his life, to ruin it. He hated them more than the rain.
Whitaker had seen the rain many times, so seeing the rain today wasn’t anything surprising. But what was surprising… was seeing the person he hated more than the rain, walking through the Er doors. Damp, clammy and his clothes clinging to his body.

“Yeah I realized that, I am a fuckin' doctor. Student doctor. Whatever.” he replies, turning to squint at the man sitting next to him. “Look, can you just get Dr. Robby? He’ll tell you I'm fine, I gotta get back to work, I got… patients and shit.”
The man looks at someone behind him, some expression he can’t quite figure out. He starts to say something else, and—oh shit he’s gonna throw up fuck—he tries to lean away and not vomit all over anyone else. He doesn't quite make it.
“Shit,” yeah, he definitely ruined that guy’s shoes. Whoops. “Sorry.”
