Ashley and Leon have escaped the island, but they're still a long way from civilization and Leon's comm is busted. During that time they've both become incredibly sick, especially Leon, and it turns out that everyone's overlooked a very crucial step in the plaga purging process...

I had a thought that was originally just a funny idea: what if Leon quickly got back together with the girl who dumped him right before RE2, and he's been quietly married this entire time with practically no one knowing about it? But the more I thought about it, the more it became both a sweet and angsty lifelong love story in my head... which resulted in this fic, the first in a series.
This part takes place directly after RE2, when Leon finally receives the medical attention he desperately needed, like, yesterday. WHUMP AND H/C AHEAD!
ODD chapters are Leon/OC, and EVEN chapters are the same material except it's Leon/Female Reader - choose your own adventure!
