Summary

Reminded of his own troubles as a child, Lan Wangji takes the music box his mother gifted him and knocks on his new neighbour's door.
If the music box was able to help him, there is no reason to believe it won't be able to help another child in distress, right?

There is a cat.
A kitten, really. Black, cowering in fear, chest tufted with white that matches its paws. It is very round. There is also a frog trapped under its little claws and teeth.
“…”
Ribbit!
The cat raises its head. Large grey eyes blink up at Lan Wangji. It drops the frog.
Quickly, the frog hops away, faster as Lan Wangji watches it go with incredulous eyes.
He turns back to the cat.
Then, “…Wei Ying?”or: During another day of rule-breaking and rule-copying, Wei Wuxian turns into a cat and Lan Wangji decides he’s a certified pet lover then and there.

Summary
Dazai had always been a bit of a mysterious asshole to Chuuya, but that didn't stop him from considering Dazai one of the most important people of his life. Regardless of how low the other might fall, Chuuya will be there to pick him up, just like he knows Dazai would be there for him.
He still wishes he could do more whenever he saw such empty eyes in the face of his partner.
Or
Chuuya tries to pick up the shards of what Kouyou had ignored and help Dazai, all while not knowing how or why the other had fall into such lows.
(Part 1 of the series isn't obligatory for understanding, but it will give a bit of context on the relationship between Kouyo and Dazai)
