Solo lo vio de reojo, mas eso fue suficiente para que se detuviera, su corazón de repente una jaula para un ave desesperada por escapar. Un chico de cabellos rubios inclinado sobre la mesa, dibujando distraídamente con una suave sonrisa en los labios. En el lomo, un pequeño castillo dibujado. Este era uno de los pocos libros sobre estética en la arquitectura que se vendían en Sumeru y, hace años, se lo había regalado a Kaveh.

He only caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of his eye, yet that was enough to make him pause, his heart suddenly a cage for a bird desperate to escape. A blond-haired boy bent over the table, drawing absentmindedly with a soft smile on his lips. On the spine, a small castle drawn. This was one of the few books on aesthetics in architecture sold in Sumeru and, years ago, he had given it to Kaveh as a gift.
How had his book ended up in Sage Reza's office?
;; After Alhaitham and Kaveh fell out, Kaveh was kidnapped and brainwashed by the Sages to become nothing more than their personal pet. Almost a decade later, when Alhaitham overthrows the government, he finds out about Kaveh and takes him home, only to realize that the way to recovery is harder than he thought.
