Summary
Jungkook eases his eyes open.
Right. Everything looks the way he suspected. He's in some sort of cave, loose pebbles plinking down from the opening he must have fallen through. His body aches, but he's okay. His equipment is still all nearby; his backpack is still in one piece, and his climbing gear is scattered around him.
Everything is exactly the way Jungkook would have suspected things to look after falling through a cave opening.
Except -- well. Except for the ghostly figure brushing translucent hands through his hair. Jungkook can't say he expected that at all.(Or: Jungkook meets a ghost. He gets attached.)

Yoongi stares.
“What?”
“The cat,” he adds. “I was wondering when Seokjinie-hyung got a cat.”
Yoongi’s mouth opens. Then closes. He drags a hand down his face.
“You climbed in through my window?”
The man shrugs, or at least tries to. It ends up more like a wiggle. He’s still laying on Yoongi’s couch. “It was low. I’m spry.”

By the time Suga got back to him with the name of the sample, Jungkook was sitting in class. He’d never been an in-class text-er. He listened well. He followed rules. He gave professors the attention they deserved. But if Min Suga texted him, Jungkook always found himself texting back, attention 100% on his phone. Maybe it was because messaging the stranger felt as informative as half of his classes. Suga gave good advice. He’d caught himself thinking over the weekend that maybe he actually did owe Jimin some coffee.
