“Sex.” Schlatt says casually, not even bothering to look up from where he’s leaning forward over the desk in his own chair and scribbling something in to a planner.
Alex rolls his eyes. “Something that you don’t get every fucking day, Schlatt.”
Schlatt looks up, a blank expression on his face. He blinks at him for a second. “…An entire day off work where the only thing we do is have sex.”
“For the love of— Schlatt, give me something like— something you actually want, I’m try—”
“That is something I actually want!”
“Give me something I can put some effort in to get—”
“Oh, you can put a whole lotta effort in to that, let me tell you—”
“I’m going to kick your ass.”

When Alex's running-mate doesn't show up to the political rally, he's horrified. Just when he thinks it's all over, just when Wilbur Soot seems to well and truly have him bent over and fucked up the ass - figuratively speaking, of course - somebody else DOES show up, and suddenly things start to change.
A long, detailed story - mostly through the eyes of Alex Quackity - of essentially the entirety of the SMP in regards to his lore, with a heavy emphasis on his relationship with Schlatt, from the moment he first meets him and everything that happens there after. A retelling through my eyes, with more of a semi-real-world spin on it. This is going to be a very long fic, so it feels difficult to briefly sum it up - please take a look at the very first 'chapter' for a more detailed introduction and proper warnings!
TLDR; Alex meets Schlatt and his whole world changes. Canon-compliant, realistic spin-on-it of their entire relationship :]

I'm only like halfway through this series but I'm already confidently recommending it because the author is so clearly incredibly talented and their work is such a joy to read. If you're looking for Schlackity (like I always am) the first chapter is fantastic, but even if you - like me - generally don't read anything without them being the main theme, I think regardless, you should keep reading this series as I did because it's beautifully paced, really enjoyable, sincerely brilliant writing and you won't be able to (figuratively) put it down. Highly highly recommend!!

I won't embarrass myself by writing another reader-based-love-letter to Apocynaceae like in my bookmark for Lucky number, but I mean it when I say you should go check them out because I don't doubt that everything in their written works whether I've read it or not is fucking fantastic and you will definitely find something you'll enjoy.
It's probably no secret that I'm in love with Schlackity and in love with Wilbur being in some way to some degree a thorn in their side or an otherwise character in their relationship-story somehow, and this appealed so much to that as a theme. As always, beautifully written, genuinely interesting and a pleasure to read.

I couldn't possibly sum up my feelings on this work in a few words or in an essay, I don't have the vocabulary or the smarts to convey in words just how utterly immersed and moved by this story I was. I've actually recommended it to people who don't know (or give a fuck enough to find out) who Schlatt or Quackity are because I think it's such an incredibly well written and interesting story, it could stand on its own two feet. I read it over a year ago for the first time and I've read it twice since because it stuck with me so profoundly. Obviously, read the warnings and heed the rating carefully before you decide to read it, but if you enjoy fiction with those themes, you'll thoroughly enjoy this. Also side note - I had never ever read the hunger games nor seen the movies, I knew nothing of the universe, and I still enjoyed this so fucking much and have since watched all three movies which I likely never would have done if it weren't for falling in love with the world building in this fic that piqued my interest so much - a testament to Apocynaceae's incredible fucking writing. Can't recommend this enough.

One of the most well written and sexiest smut fics I have ever read. Such an incredibly talented writer, based on such an incredible fic by another fucking incredible writer (HIGHLY recommend reading that too). I could read this over and over and over, cannot rec enough.
