Summary
There's just something about Carter that gets under his skin, and Benton can't quite put his finger on it. He wants to cut, to open, to do an exploratory procedure to discover and surgically remove it, bring it to the lab to study it himself.
Or: It's just a white coat.

Summary
he's been thinking about benton a lot lately. in a professional sense, sure - in the sense that he’s learning from him, that he spends every waking moment trailing him around, writing up his orders and mopping up his mess, but also in… other ways. in his weirdest moments, if he's being totally truthful, he's been thinking about benton's sex life. don't ask why, he just has.
or
how it starts.

Summary
Carter’s not sure exactly when he first learned about the patented Peter Benton Dating Algorithm, but it must have been early on, because he internalised it like it was any other scrap of information he’d gleaned and hoarded like a crazy person, like his GPA (3.8), his birthday (September 9th) or his blood type (B positive).

Summary
Charts flutter to the floor and John’s shoes skip on the linoleum, jacket flying out behind him. One of Peter’s hands cups his waist, like nothing, like it’s made to fit just there. When he notices it, his body does too. It’s an interesting feeling. Like he doesn’t have enough blood to supply to both his blushing cheeks and his stirring dick.
“Buy a girl dinner first,” he snaps, ripping himself out of Benton’s grasp. He takes a moment to adjust his tie, hoping it distracts from the way he has to also tug at the tight front of his pants.
“If that counts as second base, it explains a lot about you, Carter.” There's a curl to Benton’s mouth.
John Carter pursues an interesting thought.
