Primal instincts kept John from standing out there, frozen. It was the hardest thing to shake it off at that moment but he just stormed towards the boy, grabbed him by the shoulders and ran into the woods.
He hadn’t even taken the time to check whose horse he mounted, there was so little time and he just ran. He heard another pair of hooves behind himself, again gunshots but this time they were heading in the opposite direction."
