The world was grey and empty, and Tommy was only making it worse.
Each step felt like he was locking himself further and further into his decision until he was just a few steps away. Already he could feel the humming reaching up from the ground and becoming a part of him, just like his dream had foretold.
One step, two.
It almost didn’t feel real, but he knew it was in the way his heart was beating frantically in his chest – the way his toes were pinched in his shoes and how the tag of his hoodie itched his neck.
He stepped forward. Silence.
He woke up.
Tommy just wants to stay dead; the universe and his family object.

Jason stared, just as the name clicked in his head.

After sacrificing himself to save Apollo, Meg, and Piper from Caligula, Jason is transported to Ancient Greece, in an alternate universe where demigods are extremely rare due to the sheer difficulty of a successful demigod pregnancy.
The exact location and time period he's been transported to? Smack in the middle of The Odyssey on Odysseus' ship, right before the crew lands on Helios' island. And when Zeus arrives to cast judgement, he comes face-to-face with a demigod, young and mortal and inexplicably, undeniably his.
Jason thinks that Zeus couldn't care less about him.
Unfortunately for him, he's about to be proven very, very wrong.

When Leo returned, he offered everyone a smile before sitting down in his earlier seat. She noticed that he didn’t take any of the popcorn, which got demolished by a certain two sons of major gods within seconds.
Piper gave him a look, you good? She mouthed.
He gave her a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. Yeah. He mouthed back.
She squinted at him. Liar. She mouthed again.
He just gave her another smile and looked away.
Hm.
When she looked away from Leo, she noticed Annabeth giving her a quizzical look. When she gestured towards the mechanic, Annabeth’s frown deepened, before she gave her another confused look. He seems fine to me, she seemed to say.
Yeah, but, Leo didn’t take any popcorn. He loved popcorn.
