“Suppose we could use your room next time."
“I haven't got a room."
"I know." Izzy smiled.
"Oh..."
"Relax." said Izzy. "Drink your whiskey. Surprised you're so nervous. This was your idea."
Frenchie sipped at it, looking down to his feet. "Should I have taken my shoes off? Probably should've taken my shoes off, huh?"
"I do sleep here..."
"Right. I'll take them off." He set his glass down on the desk in front of him and then got back up to take them off and line them up at the door to the room. "There." He got back on the bed, notably closer to Izzy this time and criss-crossed his legs with his knees bending outward. "You seem pretty relaxed."
“This is my room." Izzy shrugged. "You more or less admitted your intentions last night. You can't exactly catch me off guard now."
"Dunno about that. Could just haul off and jump you or something. I mean, I wouldn't do that of course, but us being in a small candle-lit bedroom and all..."
"You wanna let me get a little more of this liquor in me before you start talking like that?' Izzy said. "You only just got here."

Summary
After Edward returns to the Revenge, Izzy tries his best to be patient and take care of him. Unfortunately his best isn't very good.
"There’s a small snuffle from the direction of the sleeping nook; it too has been closed up, hidden behind thick drapes. Izzy's stomach sinks and he sighs, twisting his gloved hand over his beard. He hadn't thought of it this morning, when adrenaline was running wild through him, but he recognizes this now. This is how it goes. He knows Edward’s mercurial moods like he knows the tides, the currents around the islands, the motions of the stars. After the wildness, the excitement, the obsession, comes the drop."

Summary
What Izzy sees when he looks at his captain, from the day they meet to the day Izzy tries to leave. Based on the January prompt: "Whenever I look at you..."
“Above all else,” Edward says, hushed and rough, like he’s just finished a pipe, “is loyalty to your captain.”
“You have it,” Izzy says. The moment seems to hang suspended in time, anticipation crushing so thick and heavy on Izzy’s chest that he’s barely breathing. Edward shifts forward an inch in his seat–
Then he leans back, reaching for a bottle for them to share. His smile is thin, but it puts Izzy enough at ease that he can sit up and take a couple of slugs, until he feels right in his body again, until he’s fully cognizant at his captain’s side.
