Summary
Suho sleeps. He tries to read until his eyes get dry and achy. He answers questions. On a scale of 1-10, how much does it hurt? Do you remember what day it is? Can you try moving this arm? This leg?
He watches people. Doctors. Nurses. His grandmother. Sieun. Always Sieun. His strange group of loud, lively friends.
He tries to relearn what it means to be a person.
And underneath it all runs that same suffocating, angry current. That wave that keeps tugging at his legs, begging to pull him under.
Somewhere in the hollow cavern of his chest, a child won’t stop crying out,

Summary
“Unclench, Sieun-ah,” Suho says, reaching out to grab for his catcher's mask, but Sieun just holds on tighter. Always so fucking stubborn. Usually it’s fine—endearing, even—but today it’s beyond frustrating. “Hey. Let me have it.”
Sieun doesn’t move, and he doesn’t say anything.
Suho and Sieun are on the same college baseball team. They lose a game, then they gain something else.

Suho goes to take off his own shirt. He immediately gets a noseful of sweat and grass. He says, throwing it to the ground and wincing, “Man, have I really smelled like that this entire time?”
Sieun looks confused. He says, “You smell fine.” And then, quieter, more embarrassed: “Or, um, good. Like baseball.”
Suho has to bite back a grin, tongue pressing into the side of his mouth.
