It all paled in comparison to what he had in front of him now: a kneeling man, looking up through his pretty lashes, face flushed.
“You're beautiful,” Aventurine breathed.
He reached down, gloved fingers holding onto a golden collar, gleaming maroon in the sunlight spilling through the window. It clicked, secure around Ratio's throat.
Aventurine watched him take a steadying breath. “It fits you well,” he murmured, curling his fingers into purple strands, “Veritas.”
Aventurine proposes a mutually beneficial agreement — stress relief for their upcoming mission in Penacony. What starts as indulgent lust bleeds into more; something he isn't prepared for at all. Dr. Ratio on the other hand is in for a wild ride of self discovery, ranging from bondage to how all-consuming love can feel.

I loved every minute of this. the in depth conversations of their thoughts and beliefs to the incredibly hot sex scenes through out. Aventurine felt so dark and realistic and Ratio felt so real with his coming to terms and acceptance. so so in love with the choke collar play

“How convenient,” Mydei said and Phainon realised his mistake, that Mydei hadn’t relinquished his grip but merely slackened it, when another, softer tug at his coat rocked him back onto his heels. “Aglaea really thinks of everything.”
“What—“ Phainon laughed but it was too high and thin, flustered, so he cleared his throat to steady himself even as his cheeks burned. “What is this about?”
“These,” Mydei answered, most unhelpfully, with another sharp pull that tightened the fabric of Phainon’s coat around his stomach and waist. His breath stuttered in his chest for another reason entirely. “The handholds. You have a metal ring. And a matching one on the other side.”
Phainon learns of a unique feature on his coat in the worst possible way: he has an… inappropriate reaction in the middle of Marmoreal Marketplace when Mydei tugs a bit too hard.
Neither of them have a problem with this.

“Now rest, Phainon.”
Unfortunately, his sleeping conditions were less than optimal. After all, Phainon was accustomed to being lulled to sleep by the scent of pomegranates warmed through by the body at his back, at his side, above or below him, pressing that heat into him with every deep breath in his ear. How could a measly blanket, reflecting no one’s warmth but his own, begin to compare to Mydei’s embrace.
Not to mention the leather straps and blindfold. But those were minor inconveniences.
Mydei’s solution to Phainon overworking himself after an injury? Wrestling him down and tying him to the kline so he can get some proper rest and recuperation.
Phainon has an unexpected reaction that has nothing to do with sleep.
