Shen Jiu had been 5 years old when he first dreamt of a handsome man with long black hair and beautifully pink eyes. The man always had one of two expressions when he gazed at Shen Jiu: a gentle smile or an angry snarl, not that it was the same each time; the man was very expressive, yet it always somehow left him reeling. In his dreams, the man was altruistic and steadfast, which only made Shen Jiu long for his presence; despite having never met, Shen Jiu knew that this man would never betray him or anyone to whom he had sworn loyalty.
To Shen Jiu, who had been dreaming of him for so long, it felt as if a part of himself was missing, which was absurd considering the bountiful negative experiences he had had due to those of the same gender. Still, it seemed nothing ever applied to the beauty who visited him nightly. After a particularly bad qi deviation, Shen Jiu gained memories of a past life with whom he now knew as Chung Myung. Surprisingly, this changed nothing and everything.

Aang didn't plan to hurt Katara—it just happened. She's already forgiven Zuko, she can forgive the Avatar too. Katara will protect Aang's innocence, even if she needs to hide her scars to do so.
Love is a battlefield, but that just means someone's bound to get hurt.
