The goddess forgives wrongs, but they do not understand right and wrong.
The ancestors of the land were heroes because they had strength and recognized the strongest of them all. It's called honor, yes. They were honorable warriors.
Dishonor must be avenged. Dishonor is weakness, weakness is dishonor. Those who make you weak, those who make you seem weak, must pay so that the weakness is disproven.
Everyone living here has different names for it, but the emperor down south wrote it as Leicester on the map, so it became Leicester.
Crowns never learn.
Only a miracle can save something dead on arrival, be it child or history.

Or, in which Fódlan's history starts with a crime and everything else is just downstream from there.

"So what if they do?" Claude shoots back. "I'd rather face a rebellion with you than a peaceful rule alone."
"You don't mean that."
"I do. I love you, Lysithea. I don't care what my people think, I choose you."
"No, you don't!"
"I do! Why won't you believe me?"
"Because you left!" she yells, and Claude's eyes widen. "You left Fódlan, and you never looked back! Don't tell me you're choosing me when you chose your dream a long time ago!"
The war is over, and Claude and Lysithea are now each free to pursue their long-held dreams. Even if those dreams take them far, far away from each other.
