A New Year’s kiss means something different to every person. For some, it might be saved for that one special person; others kiss their friend, and it doesn’t mean anything special. So what do you do if a kiss happens, but to each person it means a different thing? What do you do if this happens multiple times and feelings get involved? Is it really just a kiss or something more?
OR; There’s a New Year’s party going on upstairs, but Soobin’s sitting alone in the garden. So when Yeonjun walks up to him and kisses him at midnight, it feels like a dream. But why does he act like nothing happened the next day? And how is he supposed to move on if this happens again next year, and the year after?

Summary
The true origin of the soulmate system is, for lack of a more delicate phrasing, a crapshoot. In the modern day, the majority of people only share a link with their soulmate as far as what is written on the skin.

“Forgot my stupid fucking-” Taehyun cuts himself off with a gasp, staring down at his wrist. “Oh my god.”
“What, what's wrong?” Kai asks, but Taehyun doesn't bother trying to put together a verbal response because his best friend is already moving to see what he's looking at. Kai lets out an honest to god screech, and if Taehyun weren't slowly but surely losing his sanity, he would have complained.
Kai realizes this, too, reaching out to gently touch his fingers to the spot just below the writing and call Taehyun's attention back to planet earth.
“You okay?” He asks. Taehyun looks up at him, blinking his face back into focus, and shakes his head. Before he can be asked for elaboration, he reaches for his phone and types in the phone number with shaky fingers.

“We should break up.”
Taehyun expected the anger, or maybe the confusion. He expected Kai to frown and put up a fight. The last thing Taehyun expected was for Kai to burst into laughter.
“Wh– why are you laughing?” Taehyun is the one confused. Kai purposely stops his cackle, looking right at Taehyun. He watches the expected confusion settle into those intoxicated eyes.
“What?” Kai asks softly, the small smile still there. His lips falter and his eyebrows twitch between a frown and a blank expression. “You’re joking, right?”Or, five instances of Kang Taehyun and Huening Kai loving each other.

Summary
Beomgyu has a propensity for ruining everything good in his life. He tells himself he’s just beating it to the punch. Kill it before it kills you, right? But as soon as Yeonjun leaves, he wants him to come back. He’s never, ever wanted Yeonjun gone, and yet he can’t stop pushing when he means to say I need you.
It wasn’t always like this. He wants to go back. Back to late nights and cramming in a twin-sized bed and fearing the future instead of living it. It wasn’t always like this.
