“An evening free, huh? Didn’t know that was possible anymore.” Discarding his mail, Miguel returns to his desk, where Lyla has begun spinning the object in her hands, as if trying to decipher it. “Did you find anything about that, Lyla?”
“Possibly. It appears to be a toy of some variety.”
Scrunching his nose, Miguel takes it and turns it over.
“A toy?” He parrots. “What kind of a joke is that?”
“I don’t know jokes,” she states. “Would you like to hear what else I discovered?”
“Go ahead.”
“It could be an apparatus used by men for pleasure.”
“An apparatus used…” turning it to him, Miguel squints at it. “…by men for pleasure, huh?”
