Summary
Gandalf pulls Bilbo closer to his chest and shuts his eyes — whispering something into the hobbit's hair. Those observing assume it to be a prayer to the dead. Gandalf looks back up to Thorin. "I hope you can come to find the truth in Bilbo's words to you, Thorin Oakenshield! You are changed — like your father's father before you."
"Do not speak to me of my grandfather!" Thorin yells, his hands curled into fists, slamming onto the stone before him.
"You need not worry; I have no more use for a conversation that goes nowhere," Gandalf says. He turns around swiftly, holding on tightly to Bilbo's body. "I intend to give Bilbo Baggins the burial he deserves."
