Corin Reveck has been many things. A prodigy, an academic, a scientist stripped of his name and expelled from the only world he ever wished to inhabit, left to work in a cave beneath a dying city with a dying creature and fifteen dead subjects and nothing but the work to justify the continuation of any of it.
Then the canal delivers him a man with blast injuries and strangulation and Grey contamination threading through open wounds. By every reasonable measure the man on the table should not survive the night. He survives the night. He survives the next four days. He survives things that Corin logs with decreasing ability to explain, and what reassembles itself behind the bruising and the ruined eye and the compound now woven through him like a second circulatory system is not the contracted and hesitant figure in the photograph recovered from his coat pocket.

Summary
After a storm washes her ashore on a strange, unknown island, Luxanna Crownguard finds herself reliant on the island's prime resident: a mysterious bundle of blue-haired chaos. In the distance, Demacia's civil war awaits her, but before she can get to that, Lux must fight the nightmares living with her now.
Meanwhile, Jinx has been "content" to a life of solitude (?) after realizing her disappearance was the key for survival and for others to be happy. However, that all comes crashing down when the woman that looks and acts all too like an angel crashes her routine.

Come for the lighthearted Lightcannon trapped on an island together (Act 1). Stay for the League lore and political drama of Act 2 (limiting spoilers in this description, but I swear it's enjoyable!)
Story takes place after Arcane season 2's ending (canon divergence - Jinx escapes on an airship) and draws inspiration from Arcane and League of Legends lore, however you don't need to be proficient in either to read or really understand. Also takes some original inspiration for writing's sake.

Fifteen contestants selected across the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun. Each contestant gets a mysterious list with their own name on it, along with the names of the other contestants. No rules are given, no deadline, no objective. Only one chilling implication: Kill or be killed. This is a game about trust, and lack thereof.
Or in other words, what would happen if fifteen champions in PnZ suddenly get drafted into a death game, and they have to fight to survive.
