Seriously, dingus, I don’t know how you can waste so much money on heating this place up. The heating doesn’t need to be on constantly, it just needs a couple of hours.”

Vi’s words were slow and low in her throat like they were weighed down by exhaustion. She filled the doorway to the kitchen, just as tall as Caitlyn remembered, but something had changed. Vi had always been powerfully built, her body threaded with muscles that wrapped tightly around each limb; now she was broad, burly, her muscles big and strong and soft all at once. She was the same Vi with the same tattoos and the same short hair pushed back from her forehead, but the woman in front of Caitlyn had this new, large presence that seemed to pull everything in the room towards her like the sun.
Then she yawned and sniffed the air. “You making coffee?”

“What?” The lines of Caitlyn's brow deepened beneath the strap of her eyepatch. “What do you mean?”
“She’s gone."

Summary
The strong divide between Piltover and the Undercity was never a subtle one. The rich and the poor, the high houses and the miners. The top and the bottom. Oil and water. Split right down the middle by the river Pilt. All it took was one Piltovian girl to reach across, stumble with a family that treated her as one of their own, and fall in love with the wrong girl to break Piltover's well stablished status quo. If it was for good or bad, that remained to be seen.
