    Summary

    Born into a fishing family in district 8, you volunteer to take the place of the girl you love. Following your victory you quickly realize there is no winning the games, and that you must comply to protect those you love. You find tenuous friendship with fellow tributes, Enobaria, Johanna Mason and Finnick Odair as you adjust to the capitol and all its demands. When the Quarter Quell is called to fruition you, and the few friends you have left, plot to free the mockingjay and yourselves in the process, but freedom proves to be just as sinister as being caged. Especially while under the watchful eye of President Coin.

    Update: I'm sorry to say this, but this fic is discontinued. I will not be completing it. As much as I loved this idea, given the many TERF statements JK Rowling has made, I cannot in good faith, write any more HP AUs. I know she doesn't profit from fanfiction, but it is for my own personal reasons that I cannot continue this. I'm sorry to have disappointed anyone, but this is my decision.

    This is a gang AU, but most of the fic isn't that dark! It mostly follows Kageyama and Hinata's growing relationship. Any sensitive content will be warned ahead of time in the beginning chapter notes, and I've intentionally not made anything gratuitous or particularly graphic, because that's not the story I wanted to tell :)
