Raylan wasn’t all that good at sitting still, he’d found. Which made him damn good at the job. It also made him less good at the transport that came after. “Dickie Bennett.” Call and response. Worn into the grooves of his tongue from years of overuse. Raylan’s accent wasn’t as strong as Dickie’s. He’d given up as much of it as he could over the years, trying to let the planet hopping file the serial numbers off of his origin. He didn’t want people to look at him and know what hovel he came from as soon as he opened his mouth.
