Something is here, but he doesn’t know what. He doesn’t sit down. He doesn’t try to sleep. Instead, he goes back to the best angle he has—where he first realized the feeling—and waits.
It must be hours, he thinks, because his eagle eye starts to blink in and out, mind whirling with exhaustion from using it for so long, an ache starting to build in the back of his skull.
It flashes again. He squints, trying his best to focus, breathing through the pain, his head spinning.
He wants to stop. Part of him can't help but reason that the threat must be gone now. It's been hours. His back hurts from how stiff he's held it, his legs throbbing from the slight crouch he'd taken. But still, his mind screams at him nonetheless.
He remains there till the sun rises.

The man broke the tenets of the Brotherhood once, who’s to say he didn’t find comfort in any other women, right?
