Summary
Blade looks skyward to the fleets appearing alongside the Astral Express.
Once he finds what he’s looking for, Blade laughs in that delightfully crazed way of his and turns to Jing Yuan with an outstretched hand. “Before the stars and planets align themselves with the destiny of the new universe, and before our fates run out of ink in the margins of the script…” The smile on his face is both insane and genuine, just like Jing Yuan remembers him in the last few years they’ve spent getting reacquainted with one another. “Will you dance with me just one last time, Jing Yuan? With the universe as our final witness?”
Oh, what is Jing Yuan if not Blade’s inevitable companion in the ballroom of life?
Or: 700 years ago, a craftsman asks a lieutenant to dance before the Hunt campaign that will inevitably change everything about them. At present, a Stellaron Hunter tends to a General's wounds. 100 years later, two old men choose to live to tomorrow.

Summary
As soon as Phainon stepped foot into the garden, his eyes immediately zeroed on Mydei sitting in the sea of bright flowers. His parents were beside him, quietly talking to each other.
Phainon’s breath hitched but before he could walk away and try another day, Beagle Coconut broke away from the mini chimera formation at Phainon’s legs with an excited shriek as soon as it spotted Fig Stew sleeping near Mydei. It barreled into the poor creature, talking a mile per minute and ignoring Fig Stew’s sleepy hissing and bristling fur. Beagle Coconut’s blue eyes sparkled like two little stars as it relayed everything that happened to it in the short time they were separated.
Phainon felt himself die a little inside. Was that how he acted when he was away from Mydei for a few days?
a strange curse had befallen the newly restored Amphoreus causing all of her people to wake up with breathing, living manifestations of their emotions. Phainon tries to deal with it the best way he can but it's hard, not only because he, for some reason, has three manifestations but also because now he has no choice but to face the true emotions of people closest to him. specifically... Mydei's.

Summary
Inevitable, beyond the mere concept of inevitability. Kafka had been one of the best before she retired at a mere twenty-five, and it had been sheer talent that propelled her there. Even back then, Himeko had known—Kafka was a storyteller, and not even five years of retirement could snuff out that flame.
It’s an issue. A big one.
Because if Kafka gets this role, then the ghost becomes flesh. The phantom gets a call sheet, a trailer, a wardrobe rack, and three months of shared scenes and early mornings and Yao Guang’s terrifyingly intimate notes on eye contact. If Kafka gets this role, Himeko will have to stand across from her every single day and pretend that the last five years did not leave a strange little bruise somewhere beneath her ribs.
or, they're actresses, Kafka reemerges after five years of radio silence, and Himeko wonders what the hell she did to deserve this.

If anyone asked when that restless ache first bloomed in Dan Heng’s chest, he would be silent for a long moment, lost in thought.
He could not name the moment, could not point to a heartbeat and say, there.

Summary
“My wounds have already healed.” Slowly, Blade forces his dull and weary eyes open. The sickly light looming over the bathroom is bright enough that it takes him a long moment to adjust to the ivory glow it casts, but, even when he does, the shadows it casts over Sunday’s pained expression are more strained than anything else in the room.
Sunday is unlike Blade in every aspect. While Blade is no expert in emotions, Sunday is a master. He wears his heart on his sleeve while trying to maintain a neutral appearance that always betrays him. He cares too much, and that’s always been his Achilles’ heel.
Meanwhile, Blade’s own heart died long ago. He feels very little, but what he does feel comes in short and intense waves. At times his passive passion twists into violent possessiveness, and his tender love morphs into an unhealthy obsession. What remains of his mind is a maze of emotions no one, not even Blade himself, can navigate because there’s no entrance or exit in existence.
“They haven’t,” Sunday counters.
They have, but Blade never argues with Sunday.
