With a flash, Lyney's laptop screen transitions from the teasing message to the all-familiar scenery of the stage—fairy lights that cast a soft, angelic glow on the boy's fair skin, a variety of sea creature wall stickers, and a penguin plush sitting right next to the boy, its eyes trained on the camera as if it were his bodyguard.
And, of course, the scene wouldn’t be complete without the star of the show himself, “seabird.”
Freminet is a bookstore manager by day, but at night, he becomes “seabird,” a faceless camboy with a large following online.
Lyney leads the city’s most riveting magician duo, and he’s a devoted, recurring viewer of seabird’s streams.
Although they live in the same city, they are strangers to one another… until Gaming takes Freminet to one of Lyney and Lynette’s magic shows. When Freminet is randomly selected as an audience participant for a trick, the two meet, unaware of each other’s online identities. Neither of them expected this meeting to act as a catalyst for their relationship to turn into something more, and Freminet feels like he’s in way over his head as he tries to keep his streaming identity a secret.
