There's something feral there, now. When he cracks a joke or drops an innuendo then exposes his canines, it is more mockery than a sincere rendering of his endearingly childish mirth. There is none of that euphoric glee in his intonation, no longer an ardency to his expression. He bares his teeth but there is no light in his eyes, just the faintest sheen of his amusement glazing desolately over his—seemingly permanent—hollow gaze. It's like he doesn't know how to delineate the action… like he's forgotten.
