“So, rook,” he says, not looking up from where his spoon must be scraping a hole into the cardboard cup. “You ever gonna tell me why you went feral on me?”
Shane flushes. “It wasn’t- I wasn’t-”
Hunter finally looks up at him. There’s something like dark amusement in his eyes. “Come on, Hollander.”
