Honda Kiku had just moved to America at only 18, and is going to an (international) American school. He goes into it slightly nervous which is unusual of him, but he does end up making one dear friend who he normally would never expect to like— Alfred F Jones. Even though they were such different people and had fairly different friends circles, he felt himself (deniably) romantically and sexually attracted to this boy. Alfred isn't sure how he feels really, but he wishes Kiku was a girl before he even knew. So it's basically just them navigating this. (This fic is also on wattpad!)

Stressed-out neuroscience UCLA student Kiku finds little time to entertain himself when he's not studying or attending his lectures. Not only that, but his dream of starting his own comic series is often drowned in schoolwork and 20-page essays.
However, he goes to the new arcade that just opened nearby just to get a break from schoolwork. What he thought was going to be a recall to his childhood love of arcade games turns into a potentially blossoming friendship with a fellow arcade enthusiast and campus socialite, Alfred, or whom he refers to as, Player 2.
