Summary
What if Mark said no to Thragg’s offer?
You are - or were - the leader of a resistance cell. After successfully killing a Viltrumite, hundreds of people associated with the cause were publicly executed in retaliation while you were made to watch.
At the end, when you thought your time had come to die, you were instead forced to kneel.
“You don’t deserve the peace of death,” Thragg intoned. “I shall not make you a martyr. Instead, I shall make you a lesson.”
There, on a screen broadcast to millions, a collar of Viltrumite metal locked around your neck, and your sentence was pronounced.
You were to serve the Grand Regent himself as a slave until your dying day.
