Summary
Johnny Silverhand has never been good at accepting defeat, even when impossible odds are handed to him on a silver platter. He does not fold, he does not surrender, and he most certainly does not lose.
And yet, lose he did. In the aftermath of V's assault on Arasaka tower, Johnny finds himself crammed back into V's body as its sole inhabitant, just barely clinging to life—along with a half-fried, early prototype version of the Relic. If V's plan had worked, her engram was copied to it, fully intact until he could find a way to revive her. If it hadn't...well, then she had been torn to pieces in Mikoshi, split in two by her own attempt to save herself.
With no way to tell if V is even on the chip, let alone whole, Johnny sets out on his own leg of their impossible journey, determined against all logic to get her back no matter the cost. In order to do so, he'll need to work his way through V's network of contacts and friends, building new bridges and burning countless others—but fuck if he’s not going to burn the whole NUSA to the ground to do what he couldn't all those years ago, and save the woman he loves.

Naruto had known from the moment they’d returned to Konoha that something was wrong. He could sense it in the way Sasuke moved. In the way he breathed... as if there was something dark and impossibly heavy sitting where his lungs should be. As if their final battle had taken all the living out of Sasuke and replaced it with something else, something half-full, something unbearable that demanded to be felt.
