Summary

Frank meets Mikey when he's fifteen. The world is at wide and willing at his fingertips, waiting for the moment he breaks free from the nest for bigger and better things. They're gonna be in a band, spend the rest of their lives in a shitty tour bus, and they're gonna be happy. You and me against the world, Mikes, we don’t need anyone else.
Approaching twenty six and hitting a dead end, Frank can't help but feel like he's still a kid in a grown-up's body. It seems like everyone else is settling down whilst he ties himself into knots he can't undo: a job he hates, a fizzling situationship, and the lingering feeling that things will never get better.

Frank wasn't afraid of Mikey's weird older brother — he was afraid of vampires.
There was a difference. It wasn't personal, but it probably felt that way when the sun would start sinking in the sky and Frank would suddenly have to get home right away.
