Summary
In the immediate wake of the Rash, few survived. Fewer still made it through the years that followed, particularly those close to the equator, where winter did little to keep the beasts and trolls dormant. Some made the trek to colder lands, others slipped into the wilderness, and others took to the seas.
Most that chose to contend with sea beasts over the horrors on land did so in small fishing boats or yachts, but the greatest inhabited vessel of the present day must be the USS Abraham Lincoln, the last of America's many nuclear powered aircraft carriers. She left her home port in San Diego during the great panic that swept across the world, her flight deck turned to a tent city, and for 90 years, she has stayed at sea, gathering other ships to her side.
Thus, the Driftfleet was born, an island of safety in an ocean of mutated horrors. Summary
Down Deep is a story set in the Silent World of Stand Still, Stay Silent - and is the result of a recent revitalised enjoyment of that world in and of itself. The story starts part way through year Zero of the Silent World's apocalypse; it has no relation to the main cast of the SSSS comic, and makes use of the wider ideas of the setting in general. It focuses on two individuals - Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Connelly and Colm Masters as the world falls to pieces and the end draws in garbed all in red rashes.

Summary
This is a multi-ship, multi-topic sprawl with several plot arcs. All I can say without serious spoilers is that both knitting and Molotov cocktails feature prominently, the question of how livestock science works in the post-apocalypse is thoroughly explored, and by the end of the series you’ll probably have learned a few words of Finnish. It’s about grief, love, magic, chosen family, and connecting with nature. Written over the first half of 2018, and besides minor details compliant with canon as it was then.

Summary
Everyone had agreed to go back to Norway with her. Lalli had picked up enough Swedish, Reynir's Norwegian was tolerable, and they'd all learned some Finnish. No more language barriers. She had got them sparring and training as well. Shaking off the cobwebs, filling the gaps, teaching Mikkel how to kill a troll without lobbing vital documents at it.
They were rested. They were ready.
It was going to be the best troll hunting season ever.
...With just a few small hiccups.
