A common hormone within the human body but also one that with just a little tweaking... could wreck havoc in the wrong hands.
Nemona knew that, knew from experience that her father's messing with a chemical known as 'HGH' could end badly for who knew how many people including herself, her elder sisters, and her friend next door... but she'd been too young to make a difference back then when the underground seized it as the miracle they were looking for to further spread corruption and power everywhere.
So if she could only find a voice... then maybe... maybe she could make a difference.

Zelda was in all intentions, reasoning, and example…
A scientist.
Sure, she was a scientist that believed in magic and how it effected and manipulated electrons within atoms to vibrate at different speeds and thereby changed the effects of the magic, but she was still just a scientist.
The kind of scientist that was often busy enough in her work that her and stairs didn’t mix and thereby she preferred elevators despite the jabs toward her about how she needed the exercise, when she didn’t thank you very much, and would rather stand at a dry erase board for four hours than run on a treadmill for fifteen minutes.
Or curl her hair.
Either or were valid torture methods in Zelda’s book and yet she did both of them consistently even if neither were because she wanted to do it.Series

Summary
HtHaN is a collection of scenes scattered across a timeline from Maki's first year in high school to her adult life with Nico. Most scenes are written in a one-shot or short subset format insofar as most of the information needed to understand them is contained within. Thus, there is redundant exposition across chapters. It is assumed the reader has seen the LL anime, but references to other parts of the franchise are usually highlighted in the notes.
Scenes will not be posted in chronological order, rather in the order that I write them; as ideas come to me. Thus, chapter order will be shuffled regularly.
The numbered scenes are set in the “future” and are full of flashbacks as Nico and Maki reminisce about events gone by. The named scenes are set in the “past” and are often the remembered events in more detail.
Tags will be added as needed.
Overall rating is T, but many individual scenes may only be G. The Incident is a bit darker and has warnings in its summary and notes. Reader Discretion Advised for that scene.Most recent scene posted: All My Sanity's Gone (ch 87)
