He shook his head. There had been some, once, they had all died when he was still very small. If he thought hard, he could conjure up an old man with white hair, golden eyes, and rough nimble hands carrying him through the streets and telling him stories.

After Viktor’s parents die in a tragic accident, he finds himself forced to go to the one place he swore he’d never return to, the cave near the water with the mysterious doctor and his beloved, doomed Rio. Though it is a better alternative than begging on the streets or working in the mines or factories, Viktor beings to suspect that the doctor doesn’t have his best interests at heart and perhaps seems him as something closer to Rio than his apprentice.Series

Summary
“Hold on,” Jayce says, suddenly letting go of Viktor and hurrying away.
He returns a moment later and places a ring on the table in front of Viktor. It is simple, gold, with their initials engraved inside of it in Jayce’s precise hand. Viktor studies it for a long time, letting it grow warm in his palm.
“We don’t have to,” Viktor finally says.
“V, I’ve wanted to for…for ages. I just…it was never the right time,” Jayce replies.
“And this is?”
“Traditionally, yes.”Jayce and Viktor await their first child. A familiar face appears. There is a snow storm. Viktor wonders if he can ever go home. Post-canon, set in a world where Piltover never existed.
