Summary
Look, Dick Grayson might be forty, but he’s still got it, okay?
At least that’s what he keeps telling himself. He’s starting to feel the effects of aging — his knees kinda hurt, his joints take longer to recover, and goddammit, he still hasn’t found someone to spend the rest of his life with. Ah, the challenges of being a vigilante.
He knew what to expect when he signed up, but he didn’t actually think he would make it this far.
Then he gets a comm from the Watchtower. Batman is lost between dimensions, and in his place is a much younger version of Batman who’s never even heard of Robin. Way too freaky.
Dick had better button up his feelings quick and figure out what his Bruce Wayne was investigating before he disappeared, or baby Bruce will implode and take the multiverse with it.
So, no pressure, right?

Summary
What would it take, to make you give up your freedom?
Dick Grayson has always known the answer to that question, ever since he was a pup. He never had much of a choice. Whoever has possession of a selkie’s fur pelt controls them entirely, that’s just the way it is. His mother always told him to guard his heart, and to never, ever trust humans with his secret. The one time he broke her rule, his family paid for it. And then, he was all alone.
Distraught, he leaves his home on the coast to flee inland, heading east into the Rocky Mountains and beyond. Eventually, winter hits the mountains like a battering ram, and his flight comes to a halt in Haven.
Haven is a quaint ranching town hidden in the Rockies. There, he meets Bruce Wayne, a grizzled cowboy-turned-drunk with a checkered past. From the moment he sees him, Dick knows he’s exactly the sort of man his mother warned him about. Then he makes a mistake, and Bruce Wayne ends up in possession of his pelt.
So he makes a bargain for his freedom. He needs to be out of Haven by the summer, come hell or high water.
… But if that’s true, why can't he quit Bruce Wayne?

After Damian is badly hurt, and Talia berates Dick for it, Dick retreats to Bludhaven and falls into a low-key depressive spiral. Bruce eventually turns up. They talk, among other things. A handkerchief is involved.

Summary
The day Dick arrived home and saw a simple black velvet box laying on his coffee table he knew who left it there. Bruce didn't even try to hide his scent, it still lingered in the room, he wanted Dick to know it was him.
When he opened it, Inside laid nothing but a single pale pearl in a dark blue cushion, a pearl that he would recognize even with his eyes closed, a pearl he had memorized, engraved in his memory as one of Bruce's most prized possessions.
